A prototype is the first model made of a product. You may have heard of prototype cars. A prototype car is a model of the real car (though it might still work). Prototypes are built to test the product or to show to people before a company invests a lot of money making a lot more.

What might happen if a company does not test their design idea before making a lot more?

-The shading should be perfect as you would have practised it before.

-The net must be drawn accurately so it folds together neatly.

-It should look like your final design.
